Tidy vs. Messy Native Plant Garden

If you live in an urban community where most front yards could win an award for the perfect lawn, do you even attempt to introduce a native plant garden in your front yard which may be considered unruly or unconventional? My quick answer is, yes! More than ever we need to support pollinators by providing food and shelter for bees, butterflies and other beneficial critters. But we must also consider our neighbors as well as they would likely be more supportive of a tidy looking front yard. This can be achieved with some preplanning and plant research because it is absolutely possible to have a structured and beautiful native garden. Just need to convince the rabbits to find other sources of food.
